Col. The Right Hon. John Eyre of Eyrecourt Castle, Co Galway,

he and his younger brother Edward Eyre went over to Ireland in

the Army of General Ludlow. He married Mary dau. and heiress of

Phillip Bigoe, who was High Sheriff of King's County in 1662.

John Eyre was a Privy Councillor for Ireland.1,3
