Thomas Eyre was churchwarden with Richard Gauntlett, of the parish of Sarum St. Thomas in 1574-1575; in which church he was buried, his wife having predeceased him. In the south chancel aisle of St. Thomas' there is a painted alabaster monument of Elizabeth Eyre and Thomas. Also there is a brass with a rhyming passage inscribed thereon. [1]
